The Cash Specialist is responsible for all bank reconciliations, daily recording of cash activity, preparation of wire transfers, preparation of journal entries for cash and various accruals and coordination with VNO cash department for establishment all new cash accounts.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Record all daily cash activity on cash sheets and reconcile sheets weekly and monthly with A/R and A/P.
• Prepare all bank reconciliations and maintain monthly log.
• Prepare all wire transfer forms on a daily basis as needed.
• Input journal entries into accounting system software.
• Prepare journal entries for cash activity for wire transfers and miscellaneous cash deposits.
• Interface with VNO cash department for new account setup and account related items.
• Assist in month-end close process.Job Qualifications:
  • Must present a professional appearance.
  • Reliable, dependable, and works well with others.
  • Knowledge of accounting, including journal entry preparation.
  • Computer experience including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with some type of accounting software.
  • Ability to multi-task while exhibiting good judgment and poise in a somewhat fast paced environment with monthly deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision.Education/Experience:
    • High School diploma or equivalent required
    • Two (2) years similar experience
