Job Description:

A professional services firm in New Jersey is actively seeking a driven and dynamic professional to join their staff as their new -Senior Property Accountant. In this role, the Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for general ledger accounting for several properties.

Responsibilities

The -Senior Property Accountant -will:

• 
  
• Review monthly budget to actual variance reports and prepare variance explanations
  
• Prepare detailed quarterly and year end supporting work-papers
  
• Assist with schedules for external financial reporting (10-Q and 10-K)
  
• Perform debt compliance reporting
  
• Assist with tax commission and RPIE filings
  
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets and quarterly re-forecasts
  
• Interface with the company's external auditors
  
• Assist in preparation of ad-hoc reports and analyses as needed
  
• Interface with personnel throughout the company to maintain the proper flow of information
  
  
  Job Qualifications
  
  
  • 
    
  • College Degree in Accounting
    
  • Current accounting experience
    
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
    
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
    
  • Detail oriented/accuracy
    
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    
    
    Desired skills
    
    
    • 
      
    • CPA
      
    • Experience in the commercial real estate industry or in a medium or large CPA
