equity research in industries aligned to the firm's Banking
sectors, showcasing the firm's expertise in the sector.ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFollowing are the essential functions
for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor,
which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change over
time.
- Creating and publishing proprietary equity research content in
designated industries with stock recommendations (Buy, Hold, Sell)
to institutional buy-side clients.
- Conducting due diligence and providing industry expertise for
capital markets equity transactions, including initiating C-suite
corporate access resources for institutional clients.
- Initiating C-suite corporate access resources such as non-deal
roadshows, conferences, field trips, bus tours, and conference
calls.
- Conducting independent industry assessments and
company-specific research reports.
- Engaging with corporate client relationships at the highest
C-Level (CEO, President, COO, CFO, etc.).Level-specific
duties:
- Collaborating with senior analysts and supervisory analysts
during research production and publication processes.
- Conducting research at macro, industry, and company
levels.
- Building models including market share, revenue, EPS, and cash
flow forecasts.
- Performing financial and valuation analyses.
- Formulating investment ideas and drafting research
commentary.
- Working with Capital Markets, sales, and trading teams to
leverage research products for institutional clients, depending on
experience.
- Maintaining active dialogue with covered companies, depending
on experience and needs.Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree.
- Licenses: SIE, Series 7 (or Top Off), Series 63, Series 87, and
either Series 86 or a CFA II waiver.
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience or academic study
beyond BA/BS.
- Mastery of financial and accounting concepts for financial
modeling.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and team
ability.
- Strong analytical and sales skills.Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree and/or CFA designation.
- 6+ years of related work experience.
- Experience in mentoring and coaching.The annual base salary for
this position in New York is $250,000.Benefits:Eligible employees
