Job Description:
The Director of Life Sciences R & D Product Marketing will build
and enhance product marketing for the Cognizant Life Science
business unit focusing on our growing R&D products and platform
portfolio. Working with the product owner, this role will handle
strategic plans for new product launches or relaunches, customer
acquisition and retention, refine product messaging, positioning
and conduct market and competitive analysis, ensure plan execution
and coordinate across BU leadership, Cognizant Products, corporate
and field marketing, analyst and public relations as well as
running agency outreach.The Cognizant U.S. Foundation is a
501(c)(3) private foundation with a lean management team. We are
looking for someone who can own and implement all marketing and
communications on behalf of the Foundation. You will have the
ability to craft and build a relevant brand that aligns with our
mission and investments to date. This role requires an ability to
develop and complete communications strategies, implement marketing
activities, and demonstrate progress toward goals. You will work on

dedication to the mission!Product Portfolio Marketing Strategy
- Forge relationships with VP/CXO decision makers across
marketing, sales and technology organizations within Insurance
client organizations
- Experience developing high level marketing and brand strategies
in the context of rapidly-evolving technologies
- Work with various Business Partners across the organization
including sales, consulting, field marketing and customers to
understand and identify with confidence what messaging/UVPs
resonate with real customers, then translate this into succinct
copy for digital experiences.
- Work with internal marketing teams (the clients) to coordinate
creation and delivery of multiple digital media campaigns between
brand leaders, media planners, digital agencies, DSPs, ad networks
and analytics leads.
- Formulate the content strategy to support messaging for target
accounts and existing clients
- Develop short- and long-term messaging frameworks to drive key
business goals and strategies across our North America business
verticals comprised of Financial Services & Insurance; Healthcare;
Communications, Media & Technology; and Products & Resources
- Partner closely with our Social Media team on a North America
social media strategy and implementation
- Supervise the go-to-market strategy with corporate
communications, social media and field marketing leaders,
worldwide.
- Help plan and handle media strategies for integrated global
marketing communications plans
- Work closely with the BU Leadership Team to define and drive
the CP transformation strategy and service offering
- Partner with business and corporate functions to draft
well-informed communications and rollout communications initiatives
that support Cognizant's strategy.
- Partner with Sales Executives and Client Leaders to drive
business development with the accurate information, tools, and
subject matter expertise to sell engagements
- Partner with product general managers and portfolio strategy
team to drive marketing strategy and program at the overall
portfolio, product family and individual product level.
- Partner with the portfolio commercialization team to lead and
handle the development of product launch marketing plans, as well
as the execution according to plan, making improvements to
marketing guidelines, brand guidelines, and marketing advisories as
needed.Product Marketing Efficiency and Analytics
- Establish a system to measure communications effectiveness
- Lead and develop content and editorial program communications
and tactics working across the marketing and communication areas
including social, PR, AR, advertising etc.
- Create tools that enhance business and product knowledge among
sales, account, product and marketing teams that drive insight in
decision making.
- Drive innovation by fostering an environment open to new
alternatives to traditional methods, approaches, and products.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing channels and customer
experience functions across domain and related
technologies.Leadership and Management
- Compose and conduct performance reviews.
- Provide guidance, training, mentoring, coaching and
development.
- Make recommendations regarding hiring, promoting and
terminating.
- Demonstrate strong leadership communication by generate a
shared commitment to the organization, build morale, and encourage
ownership of mission, goals, and values.
- Review, supervise, and implement corporate policies and
procedures.Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or
related field (or equivalent experience)Experience:
- 15-20 years of well-rounded consulting services marketing
experience in positions of increasing responsibility, with a focus
on market expansion and identifying emerging trends
- Minimum of 2-4 years of Healthcare domain (payer or provider
experience).
- Experience creating communication strategies and implementing
them through in-person, video and other digital channelsKnowledge
and Key Role Competencies:
- Consistent record to create an effective product marketing
strategy and complete the action plan to support and drive sales
results.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of various marketing
research techniques, strategies, and projects.
- In-depth knowledge of the healthcare payer and provider
technology industry and its current events (buying trends, channel
