Responsibilities of an Automotive Service Technician: Perform
multipoint safety inspection on all vehicles. Adhere to high
ethical standards. Remain current with all training required to
maintain Certification. Perform work as outlined on repair order
with efficiency and accuracy. Communicate with the parts department
to obtain needed parts. Communicate with service advisor
effectively on all updates. Documents all work performed and
recommended on the repair order. Road tests vehicles when required.
Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools,
and events. Ensures customer’s cars and work area are kept clean.
Requirements: Must have a Valid driver’s license. Previous
automotive repair and maintenance experience required. Knowledge in
all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance. Ability and
desire to constantly learn and improve mechanical skills.
Certification or desire to obtain certification in all ASE
standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills. Team player. Computer literate.
Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment. High school
