Job Description Job Description Estimator Estimator Position Overview The Estimator is responsible for evaluating project costs and preparing accurate estimates for various construction projects. This role focuses on commercial, retail, hospitality, and residential sectors, ensuring that estimations align with client budgets and project specifications. Key Responsibilities Review and analyze project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates. Collaborate with project managers and architects to clarify scope and requirements. Prepare and submit timely and accurate bid proposals and estimates. Conduct site visits to gather relevant data and assess project conditions. Monitor and adjust estimates based on changes in project scope or materials costs. Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing. Provide cost analysis and recommendations for cost-saving opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry. Strong understanding of commercial, retail, hospitality, and residential construction practices. Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Strong communication and negotiation abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
