(ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.

considered. Seeking an experienced Sign Language Interpreter to
support communication needs within school environments. This role
is based in Paterson, NJ, and involves travel between various
schools to provide interpreting services, ensuring effective
communication for students with hearing impairments. Key
Responsibilities: Facilitate clear and accurate signed
communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and
educators. Attend and interpret during classroom instruction,
meetings, and school events. Collaborate with teachers and staff to
tailor communication approaches that meet students needs. Maintain
confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards.
Travel to multiple school locations as required to fulfill
interpretation assignments. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong
interpreting skills. Experience working in educational settings
preferred. Knowledge of school curricula and terminology is a plus.
Ability to work independently and manage travel logistics
efficiently. Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
