Job Description:
Teach and produce scholarship in the area of human rights and
international law. Mentor J.D., graduate, and undergraduate
students in a professional school of international affairs and in a
law school. Duties and Responsibilities: The School of Diplomacy
and International Relations at Seton Hall University and Seton Hall
Law School invite applications for a joint appointment to a
tenure-track assistant professor position in international human
rights law and public international law to commence in the
2026-2027 academic year. The primary appointment will be to the
School of Diplomacy, where the faculty member will teach in our
graduate and undergraduate programs, including our new
undergraduate degree in Law and Diplomacy. The successful candidate
will teach three classes (9 credits) in the School of Diplomacy and
two classes (5-6 credits) in the Law School per year. The expertise
to teach and develop other courses related to international law is
a plus. Required Qualifications: Applicants must possess a J.D.
and/or a Ph.D. in a related discipline. Applicants with a Ph.D.
should also have either a JD or an LLM. Applicants should have
their degrees in hand by the time of their appointment. Successful
applicants will demonstrate the ability or potential to teach
effectively in a professional school at both the undergraduate and
graduate levels and in a law school. All applicants should have
strong research backgrounds or demonstrate substantial potential
for conducting important academic research in their field of
