Job Description:
H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled 2nd Shift
Shop Mechanic to support our Engineering & Maintenance department.
As a premium provider of construction materials and contracting
services since 1968, we rely on the strength of our equipment to
maintain the highest standards of service delivery. Your role,
based out of our well-equipped facility, will focus on the
maintenance and repair of various construction vehicles and
equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability during
critical construction operations. Perform regular maintenance and
emergency repairs on heavy construction equipment and vehicles,
including but not limited to asphalt pavers, compactors, loaders,
and trucks. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems
and perform repair or coordinate with specialized repair services
as required. Maintain repair logs and documentation of all
maintenance activities in compliance with company policies and
industry regulations. Collaborate with the maintenance team to
implement a preventative maintenance program that reduces the risk
of unplanned downtime. Ensure proper inventory levels of necessary
supplies and spare parts are maintained. Assist in the training and
development of junior mechanics, promoting safety and quality
standards. Proficient in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical
system repairs. Ability to diagnose issues and execute effective
solutions swiftly. Experience with heavy equipment used in
construction, including preventative maintenance routines. Strong
observational skills for monitoring equipment performance and
maintaining safety protocols. Capacity to manage multiple tasks and
prioritize effectively. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Valid certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or
similar required. CDL or optional certifications in specific
equipment types (e.g., hydraulics, electrical systems) are an
advantage.
