We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Diesel Fleet Mechanic to join our transportation team, ensuring the highest levels of fleet efficiency and reliability. This role demands a skilled professional with a knack for mechanical problem-solving and a strong background in diesel engines. The ideal candidate will be leading a team of mechanics, overseeing the maintenance, repair, and overall management of our diesel fleet vehicles. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all fleet vehicles. Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical components. Supervise and lead a team of diesel mechanics, prioritizing tasks and scheduling maintenance. Ensure compliance with federal and state vehicle requirements by performing inspections and preventive maintenance. Maintain detailed records of service logs and vehicle conditions. Manage inventory of parts and supplies. Collaborate with logistics and storage departments to optimize vehicle availability. In-depth knowledge of diesel engine mechanics Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Good communication and organizational skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Diesel Mechanic (CDM) ASE Certification in Diesel Mechanics Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus
