The Mission:

The mission of the Regional Vice President (RVP) is to ensure continued growth and success of the companies within their assigned region (NY/CT). The RVP is responsible for leading a team of General Managers to achieve company objectives throughout Silas New York and Connecticut region. Perfect alignment with the companys customer centric continuous improvement mission statement is imperative. The RVP must provide leadership in strategy, sales, and operations. A successful RVPis innovative, driven, and has a passion for leading their team to achieve company objectives.

The Position:

The RVP has direct responsibility and will own the P&L performance within their region. They will coach and develop the General Managers within their region to achieve company objectives, while working alongside of the M&A Integration and Financial Planning Manager to devise data-driven strategies that will drive growth and increased profitability within their assigned region. They will develop and oversee the regions operating budget and will serve as a true P&L leader for the companies within their region. They report to the Chief Operating Officer and serve as a member of the management team, responsible for developing the annual strategic plan for the companies within their region and coaching their regions General Managers to tactically deliver the planned results.

The RVP must be proactive and capable of operating in an autonomous fashion, yet also demonstrate the ability to work in a team and to act as a mentor and coach to their direct reports. This position requires excellent communication skills, and strong interpersonal and influencing skills needed to team with other members of the leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • This position will provide leadership to the General Managers within their region to achieve or surpass their performance objectives. They will define and deliver the strategy for the region and be responsible for sales, project management, integration, operations, cost containment, and overall financial performance.
  • The RVP is responsible for the identification, integration, and management of newly acquired businesses.
  • They will establish an operational improvement program within their region, by identifying and assessing all process and procedural improvements, with the goal of increasing profitable returns and reducing costs, while still maintaining quality.
  • Play lead role in regional management meetings, presenting relevant operational initiatives and updates up and down the chain of command.
  • Provide assigned staff with ongoing feedback, direction, and guidance to insure well-motivated and productive workgroup that achieves its goals at all times.
  • This position must operate as a true strategic and tactical leader for the Company, managing, mentoring, and leading the organizations within their region.

    Personal Qualifications
    • Bachelors degree in Business, Management, or a related field
    • Min 5 years managing in Regional Leadership capacity with a track record of revenue and EBITDA growth
    • Ability to focus and prioritize in the face of multiple competing priorities
    • Data driven leader who can lead multiple business units
    • Success and confidence in business development and leading a diverse regional team.
    • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities.
    • Ability to work well as part of top management team to facilitate growth and expansion while strengthening the region.
    • Positive can do attitude combined with a sense of urgency and a commitment to quality.
    • Must have excellent analytical and reasoning skills.
    • The RVP should be able to make decisions decisively and be able to follow up and hold people accountable, by measuring people, processes, and systems towards success.
    • The RVP should be a leader that pursues excellence and always sets expectations with employees.
