We're looking for a creative, innovative, experienced, and hands-on professional to take the lead in ensuring Polestar's premium product quality.Let us describe the challenge we offerThe Product Quality Manager will be an extension of our global Quality Team based in the North American market. We believe that innovation is a team effort – just like each component is critical to the performance of our cars, each person working at Polestar is as important to the team and its performance. You will work in close collaboration across global teams that don't settle for anything less than excellence. Our Quality Department works to ensure the quality in Polestar products and services throughout their lifecycle.This position is based out of our Mahwah, NJ Headquarters and will require 25% overnight travel throughout the North American market with possibility of international travel as needed.What you'll do

  • Maintain the global Quality Teams perspectives and approach while ensuring the local markets needs and focus are being met
  • Lead the investigation process for concerns or escalations around product quality
  • Follow up and report on quality KPI's, surveys, and statistics and creating a consolidated view for the North American market
  • Manage quality escalations through all applicable teams and manage the top-quality issue list in the North American Region, ensuring central priority alignment.
  • Coordinate and/or facilitating port quality inspections and creating field reports.
  • Attend new product development builds when needed to represent the Quality Team perspectives
  • Act as the main point of contact for quality related queries between North American Region & Sweden HQ
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement activities by identifying gaps and weaknesses in existing processesWho you are
    • 5+ years of experience in a technical or quality focused role in the automotive industry
    • Engineering degree preferred or problem solving / analytical skills otherwise obtained through automotive industry experience
      • You have the ability to draw conclusions from large amounts of data and present to upper management
      • Strong interpersonal skills that illustrate you understand the needs of and how to communicate with counterparts in North America and abroad to drive market needs and perspectives
