GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Manage Parts Customer Service Representatives, Provide Parts
Department Customer Service, Act as technical support to the Parts
--- Accomplish Parts Department operations human resource
objectives by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching,
counseling and disciplining employees; communicate job
expectations, planning, monitoring and appraising.
--- Assist Parts Manager operational objectives by contributing
Parts Department operations information and recommendations to
strategic plans, and reviews; preparing and completing action
plans, implementing production, productivity, quality and
customer-service standards; resolving problems.
--- Develop Customer Service Department employees by setting
professional goals and overseeing progress towards those goals.
--- Assist in the development of the Parts Department design by
planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems;
evaluating and recommending new equipment.
--- Handle the dealer parts order process including receiving parts
orders by phone, fax, e-mail, and ensure proper order entry.
--- Assist dealers in looking up parts and guiding them to where
they can acquire that information - vendor website, Steven Willand
--- Assist customers in gaining access to and properly navigating
the Steven Willand website/dealer toolbox. Promote services -
advantages it offers including the on-line parts ordering
--- Answer inquiries by clarifying information, researching,
locating and providing information including but not limited to
backorders, lead times, availability, discounts, shipping and
freight policies, parts programs, contacting vendors on customer's
--- Assure appropriate inventory levels by reviewing parts
inventory levels and needs and ordering parts, monitoring
backorders and comparing our records with vendor records, review
sales history to establish and reset reorder points and report and
track shortages and discrepancies with vendors.
--- Receive Inventory through Receipt Entry
--- Comply with federal, state and local warehousing, material
handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new
legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising
management on needed actions.
Other duties as assigned
--- Management experience preferred
--- Technical, human and conceptual management skills
--- Shipping and receiving management, workflows and procedures
--- Familiarization with OSHA rules and regulations
--- Knowledge of computerized inventory/location systems
--- Effective computer skills for all software provided
--- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
--- Strong leadership skills
--- Ability to work with staff to ensure positive culture
