The Sales Planning Manager will lead the synchronization of volume and investment, to track and analyze programs to ensure maximum ROI. Work cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure we are driving toward our sales strategy. The Position is be based in our Park Ridge, NJ headquarters and reports to the Associate Director of Sales Planning.

The Sales Planning Manager is responsible for owning and leading all Sales Planning activities to support PIM Brands cross functional KPIs to ultimately achieve the organizations goals.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to identify category, brand, and account specific trade opportunities
  • Lead PIMs AFS/Exceedra trade management system including volume and budget tracking
  • Point of contact of AFS/Exceedra for Sales to ensure accuracy of input/output
  • Administer budget processes used within the sales organization: deal status, deal types, and trade / indirect funds to provide transparency to the sales force and executive management on promotional effectiveness for customers.
  • Recommend trade funding allocations, monitor trade spending nationally, develop and manage overspend process
  • Post promotional analysis for continuous improvement and best practice identification
  • Assist in vetting out incremental programs and make recommendations to senior sales leadership
  • Issue trade promotional guidelines
  • Manage off shelf programming process from a national perspective including corrugate off-shelf merchandising (temporary shippers, counter displays, etc.) and permanent merchandising
  • Include tracker to manage activity
  • Assist in Accounts Receivable processes including deduction management and post audit activities
  • Assist in determining Price recommendations as needed
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales on optimal price/pack strategies by channel


    • Bachelors degree in Business or related field; MBA desired
    • Minimum 7 years CPG trade promotion, sales, or customer development experience
    • Trade Management System / Exceedra experience a plus
    • Syndicated POS (IRI/Nielsen) proficiency
    • Advanced Excel; proficient in PowerPoint
    • Thorough knowledge of retail promotions, shopper marketing and go-to-market strategies
    • Ability to successfully work cross-functionally
    • Strong leadership coupled with the courage, drive, and discipline to execute
    • Strong analytical and reporting skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, with high levels of proficiency in Excel
    • Proven record of building strong relationships both internally and externally with the ability to influence people, including building high level of trust and commitment
    • Self-motivated and bias for action
