strategic, action-oriented, and entrepreneurial leader to partner
in the ongoing development of CCS's Business Strategy team.
Specifically, this individual will focus on enhancing firm-wide
Business Development efforts, defining and implementing strategies
that drive business growth.RESPONSIBILITIESCCS is looking for an
experienced professional to build out a formal corporate Business
Development function, maximizing the impact of a series of priority
projects underway while also uniting the successes experienced by
regional business development departments under a shared approach
for the overall company. Near-term, the role will prioritize a
focus on the below, and the AVP, Business Development Strategy will
also be empowered to expand upon items on this list:
- CRM System Launch (HubSpot): Supporting the impact and adoption
of a new marketing and CRM system launch (currently underway), with
a dedicated focus on leveraging this tool to launch best practices
associated with proactive and strategic contact cultivation.
- Market-Mapping Strategy Activation: Collaborating on strategy
development associated with the outputs of an active market mapping
exercise - a targeted analysis seeking to identify all US-based
nonprofits in CCS's addressable market.
- Sector-Growth Strategies: Activating and enhancing
sector-specific business expansion strategies.
- Client-Stewardship Program: Rolling out an envisioned firm-wide
client stewardship program.This role presents an opportunity to
shape firm-wide business strategy, establish a new center of
business excellence, and directly collaborate with firm leaders on
the central initiatives driving business growth. Early strategy
implementation support will be provided by the Corporate Field
Marketing program and regional business development professionals.
There is an opportunity to significantly build out this team in
future years with demonstrated successes.Beyond the priorities
listed, this leader will be asked to provide ongoing focus to the
following:
- Partnering with the Chief Project Officer and key firm leaders
to identify overall business expansion priorities and supporting
initiatives.
- Developing corresponding sales and business development plans
aimed at increasing market share and overall revenue in priority
sectors and geographies.
- Directing strategy design and firm-wide launch planning for
associated business development initiatives.
- Collaborating with Marketing leadership to ensure an
intentional integration of marketing and business development
strategies at the firm-wide and regional levels.
- Training sales and business development professionals on new
protocols and best practices.
- Monitoring the impact of all business development efforts, in
partnership with Business Intelligence, setting and reflecting on
KPIs that speak to strategy successes and enhancement
opportunities.
- Monitoring key trends in the overall industry and associated
market dynamics.
- Recommending enhancements to other areas of business
development and oversee resulting change
management.QUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate is highly resourceful,
professional, and capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced,
deadline-oriented corporate environment. Additional requirements
include:
- Bachelor's degree in business-related field (Master's degree a
plus).
- Minimum of 7 years related experience, with a preference for
previous work in Business Development.
- Understanding of the nonprofit sector and/or professional
services preferred.
- Experience collaborating with a diverse set of leaders and
developing unifying solutions.
- Action-oriented work style able to balance strategy development
with execution.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and
effectively.
- Entrepreneurial nature excited by the prospect of building a
department and team.
- Experience with HubSpot a plus.CCS offers competitive benefits,
