Job Description
We are looking for Speech Language Pathologists who have strong treatment and evaluation skills who are able to effectively work with children in the sensory gym, virtually and out of doors. The best candidates are therapists with demonstrated leadership ability who are upbeat, organized, self-motivated and problem solvers, who want to be part of a team of a dedicated team of therapists.

Evaluate new patients in the clinic, out of doors and virtually
Provide speech therapy services to children birth through 21 in a sensory gym, virtually and out of doors using the therapeutic approaches that best meet the child's unique needs
Design and monitor effective home programs and school strategies, as needed, that meet the child's needs and family's capacity for follow-through
Collaborate with parents and teachers to set functional goals
Provide ongoing guidance, support, and education to parents and teachers, in person and virtually
Participate in team meetings and workshops
Participate in program development, such as summer camp programs and after-school groups

The ideal Speech Language Pathologist will have expertise in:

Receptive/Expressive & Pragmatic Language Disorders
Apraxia of Speech
Articulation and Phonological Disorder
Executive Functioning
Oral motor evaluation and treatment skills
Feeding
Working with children on the Autistic Spectrum

The ideal Speech Language Pathologist will have the following qualifications:

Masters degree in Speech Pathology from a program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA),
New Jersey speech pathology license
NJ school certification preferred
3+ years' experience providing individual speech therapy to children in a private practice setting and in schools. Experience in treating children birth-21 with a wide range of challenges, including Autism
Desire to work long term in a warm supportive environment
Compassionate, caring, collaborative, willing to go the extra mile for your families
Excellent problem-solving skills and analytic abilities
Willingness to work in our Teaneck and Waldwick locations, out of doors, virtually and in local schools
Ability to meet the child where they are and build a warm therapeutic relationship with the child and family
Ability to conduct assessments and evaluations using standardized evaluation tools and clinical observations to determine the child's strengths and challenges, collaborate on goal setting with caregivers, and generate a comprehensive report of findings
Provide effective treatment sessions to meet the child's functional goals
Experience treating clients within the classroom and collaborating with teachers
Excellent communication skills with parents, children, and co-workers
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
