VMG believes the relationships among its doctors and providers are central to success.Position Summary:Hematology/Oncology Physician is an internal part of the VMG Oncology team and provides consultation and management of patients with suspected or proven hematologic or neoplastic disorders. Valley's Hematology Oncology Program treats all forms of hematologic malignancies or blood disorders.Valley has partnered with the Mount Sinai Health System to provide additional cancer services for our patients, including a greater array of clinical trials. The Valley-Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Care team of hematologists and medical oncologists use a team approach to cancer care to address patients' emotional, physical and medical needs. Our physicians regularly participate in case reviews at Mount Sinai to share expertise and the latest treatment options. - They work collaboratively with your other oncology physicians (including radiation oncologists and surgical oncologists), oncology-certified nurses, pharmacists, social workers, your primary care provider, - and other specialists. Participates in the practice's "on-call" schedules as needed. Hematology/Oncology Physician is available for emergency calls from VMG staff or physicians. The Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons has awarded Valley's Cancer Program a Three-Year Accreditation with Commendation Gold Level, the highest level of recognition and one attained by only 30 percent of cancer centers in the U.S. Valley is the only hospital in northern New Jersey and one of only two in New Jersey to receive a Outstanding Achievement Award award in 2015. Other recognitions include a Women's Choice Award as one of America's Best Hospitals for Cancer Care and six Gold Seals for cancer care from The Joint Commission.Position requirement:

  • M.D or D.O from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy from a recognized institution
  • Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology
  • NJ State Medical license, DEA, and CDS are required.
  • BLS - required, and ACLS preferred
  • Maintains CME credit hours as required for Board Certification and/or hospital staff privilegesRecruitment Package:
