Job Description WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract Paramedic for a local contract job in Paterson, New Jersey. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Paramedic - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our emergency medical services team. This role involves providing advanced pre-hospital care to patients in emergency situations and ensuring safe and efficient transport. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Job Function:/n - Day Shift or Night Shift. /n - 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. /n - Respond to 911 emergency calls and provide advanced life support in pre-hospital settings. /n - Assess patient conditions and administer appropriate medical interventions, including: Intravenous (IV), intramuscular (IM), intranasal, oral, and topical medications. /n - Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment and vehicles. /n - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. /n - Document patient care and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations. /n - Participate in future Specialty Care Transport Unit (SCTU) operations for critical care interfacility transfers. /n /n /n/n Job Requirements::/n - Current Paramedic certification/licensure (state-specific requirements apply). /n - 1 year of pre-hospital experience (hospital-only experience does not meet requirements). /n - Proven experience in medication administration for various medical and trauma emergencies, including pediatric patients. /n - Strong knowledge of emergency protocols and advanced life support techniques. /n /n /n Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
