About the Role: We’re looking for a Senior Director, Medical Affairs Strategy to help us expand what’s possible for patients with serious diseases. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Medical Strategy & Communications, the Senior Director will develop, implement, and lead the therapy strategy and planning for Medical Affairs across all geographic regions ensuring a cohesive approach. This individual will also develop and lead all medical affairs activities ensuring partnership within the team (medical strategy, scientific communications, and publications) all key Medical Affairs functions (Medical Excellence, HEOR, Field Medical, Medical Information) as well as maintain a high-level cross-functional collaboration across the organization to ensure alignment and a “One Insmed” approach. What You'll Do: In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to establish and shape medical strategy ?ensuring this fits within the overall company strategy and that cross-functional alignment is attained. You’ll also: Drive the development and execution of Medical Affairs plans? by ensuring strategy is reflected in medical plans and that these deliver on critical identified milestones in launch planning. Provide medical leadership input for cross functional partners including clinical, operations, HEOR, and commercial?to ensure that there is a strong medical voice represented. Build an external relationship network across therapy area (respiratory) to supportthe franchise and gain advice.? Develop data generation strategy including gapanalysis, to evolve product data generation plans and ensure there is a OneMedical strategy.? Review publications, help create medical backgrounders, FAQs and standardresponses, and develop internal training approach?. Develop full thought leader engagement strategic approach and ensuing plan. Partner with Medical Strategy, Regions, and Finance to plan and manage annual budget for medical activities. Ensure a comprehensive and synergistic approach by collaborating across Medical Affairs, Regions, and other functions including Commercial and Development; drive a “One Insmed” and Respiratory Franchise approach. Partner with stakeholders to identify and integrate innovative ideas and best practices into strategies, plans, and activities. Who You Are: You must have an MD, PharmD, or PhD with previous leadership experience across Medical Affairs as well as 8 years of overall pharmaceutical or biotech experience. Additionally, you have: Strong knowledge of Medical Affairs and a robust understanding of medical affairs planning with previous launch experience. Demonstrated ability to develop innovative approaches within Medical Affairs. Ability to work independently and thrive as the Medical Affairsrepresentation?within cross functional teams. Previous leadership experience in medical affairs and ability to lead by influence within a matrixed team. Proven track record of leading process and operational excellence and developing planning standards. Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and functions. Strong attention to detail; strategic thinker with ability to connect multiple components. Proven history of effectively driving change. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Passion and demonstrated experience in enabling creative problem solving and encouraging unique solutions. Nice to have (but notrequired): Previous experience in pulmonology is strongly preferred. Global experience or experience in multiple regions including the US is an advantage. Where You’ll Work This can be a fully remote role because the selected candidate should be able to perform effectively from anywhere while staying connected to your Insmed team and community. Occasional travel for team meetings or events will be expected. Alternatively, if you live within a drivable distance of our Bridgewater, NJ facilities, you’ll have the option to work remotely most of the time, but with more in-person collaboration when it matters most. Travel Requirements This position involves frequent domestic and international travel (up to 25%).
