Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab - Discipline: RN - Duration: Ongoing - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab | PRN We are seeking an experienced PRN Cath Lab Registered Nurse to support our Cardiovascular Laboratory team. This per diem role is ideal for an RN with strong cardiac or critical care experience who excels in a fast-paced procedural environment. Position Details - Employment Type: PRN / Per Diem - Shift: Day shift - Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM - Call: As needed per department policy Job Description The Cath Lab RN provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures. The RN addresses psychosocial, physical, and general patient care needs in the procedural setting while collaborating closely with physicians and the cardiovascular lab team. Responsibilities - Provide direct nursing care in the Cardiovascular Lab - Monitor and document patient condition continuously during procedures - Interpret and monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data - Communicate continuously with physicians regarding patient status - Prepare procedure rooms and ensure equipment readiness - Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory management - Obtain supplies for individual cases and ensure procedural needs are met - Participate in performance improvement and quality improvement initiatives Requirements - Active State RN License (required) - BSN preferred - BLS (AHA) and ACLS required upon hire and must be maintained - Minimum one (1) year experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab performing cardiac procedures or in a Critical Care setting (required) About American Consultants Since 1989, American Consultants has been the leader in national healthcare staffing and consulting services.
