Posting Summary The Rutgers School of Health Professions ( SHP )
Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences is inviting
applications for part-time Adjunct Clinical Educators in its Master
of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (MS- SLP ) program located
in Newark. SHP is one of eight schools that are part of Rutgers
Health, the premier health sciences institution in New Jersey. The
SHP Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences is a
multidisciplinary department that houses the Speech-Language
Pathology, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy Programs.
Rutgers is an internationally ranked and recognized University that
is a member of the prestigious AAU and the Big Ten conference.
Through this Adjunct Clinical Educator role, the school wishes to
build on its strong history by increasing its capacity for
excellence in clinical practice, teaching, and research. Part-time
Adjunct Clinical Educator in RU- SLP Clinic: The Speech-Language
Pathology Program is accepting applications for part-time, hourly,
non-tenure-track positions. The successful applicant will be
responsible for modeling assessment and intervention techniques
with clients, as well as providing clinical education to and
supervising graduate students. The ideal candidate will be
interested in participating in collaborative clinical programs and
have a demonstrated commitment to ethnoracial and social diversity.
Participation in academic-clinical scholarship projects is
optional. Bilingual SLPs, especially those proficient in Spanish
and English, are encouraged to apply. Applicants should be prepared
to commit consistent hours to the program (8-hours per day on
Mondays and Wednesdays). Appointments are renewed on an as-needed
basis per semester. Ongoing training in clinical supervision is
provided. Duties Provide exceptional, evidence-based assessment and
treatment for clients Develop the clinical (e.g., intervention,
clinical documentation) and critical thinking skills of graduate
students via direct instruction and supervision within a team-based
education model Assist in other educational activities related to
student clinical development Act in accordance with the ASHA Code
of Ethics
