Title: Human Resource Generalist Reports to: Director, Human
ResourcesDepartment: Human ResourcesSupervises: N/AOrganizational
Relationships: Interfaces with all employee groups, supervisors,
managers, applicable vendors, applicants, visitors and other
kdc/one representatives.Basic Function: Position provides support
to all Human Resource functions which include, but are not limited
to: recruiting, hiring, retention, counseling, benefits, safety,
training, community involvement, communication, record-keeping,
medical, contract services. Position may require exclusive
responsibilities and skills in a specific Human Resource function.
Position must generally support the goals and objectives of the
organization and specifically of the department.Responsibilities:
1. Maintains an exemplary personal safety record and to improve the
safety environment of the plant.2. Participates in all required and
applicable training programs. Demonstrates a philosophy as a
life-long learner.3. Remains current with and follows all policies
and procedures, and makes recommendations for changes.4. Promotes
"due process" for all employee groups.5. Demonstrates a "customer
service" philosophy with all contacts.6. Understands and supports
the budgeting process of Human Resources.7. Efficiently uses time
and recommends time-saving measures.8. Performs diversified duties
as required to attract, recruit, hire, insure the safety of, and
retain employees. 9. Accurately manages data both in paper and
electronic forms in conformance with all policies, practices and
procedures.10. May conduct plant tours or be responsible for
visitors.11. Confidentially handle all issues of a sensitive
nature. May include a referral or contact with the EAP.12.
Effectively communicates any public information using various
resources.13. Participates in/provides wellness projects and
programs to benefit the employees.14. Ability to provide back-up
for all other non-exempt positions in Human Resources.15. Completes
any other special projects and duties at the discretion of the
Director of Human Resources.Qualifications:
- Previous experience of 4 years or more in a Human Resources
specialty function such as, but not limited to, Medical Clerk,
Therapist, Switchboard Operator, Benefits Clerk, Human Resource
- High degree of confidentiality.
- Works with minimal supervision.
- Computer proficiency of Microsoft Word, Excel and applicable
computer software such as Groupwise, Open4 or equivalent.
- Proficiency with standard office equipment.
- Associates Degree preferable
- High degree of accuracy.
- Tact, above average communication skills, to work
- Ability to convey a positive and professional image.
- Knowledge of Human Resource federal, state and local laws, acts
and provisions applicable to the duties of the office.
