Job Description Job Description Distribution Company Urgently Hiring Warehouse Associate to Start As Soon As Possible, in Boonton, NJ Pay: $18/hour ; Overtime: $27/hour Location: Boonton, NJ Shift: Monday - Thursday 8am-5:30pm, Friday 8 am - 3:45 pm Job Description The Shipping Clerk is responsible for managing and maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments. This role involves preparing items for shipment, including tasks such as assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or materials. The Shipping Clerk ensures accuracy in shipments by comparing identifying information with counts, weights, or other measurements to verify quantities against bills of lading, invoices, and orders. Responsibilities Prepare items for shipment by assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material. Compare identifying information with counts, weights, or other measurements of outgoing shipments to verify quantities against bills of lading, invoices, and orders. Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped. Generate shipping labels for shipments and calculate shipping rates for foreign orders. Calculate, pack, and weigh orders. Deliver or route materials to departments using hand trucks, conveyors, or sorting bins. Load shipments onto carriers. Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping using hand tools, power tools, or a postage meter. Essential Skills Experience in shipping and receiving. Proficiency in packaging, packing, picking, and material handling. Inventory management skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boonton, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
