Overview of the Role As Global Consumer Technology (GCT) Head of Data Transformation, you will report directly to the GCT Head of Consent Order Transformation Office that is chartered to ensure that we have clear ownership, integrated execution plan, and adequate staffing model for delivery of Regulatory Business Critical Milestone (RBCM) project activities to execute phase-level regulatory commitments. The purpose of this role is to strengthen Citi's risk data aggregation capabilities and internal risk reporting practices, and to enhance risk management. This role will implement and adopt the overall data quality strategy related to identification of business needs, reactive data quality (i.e., identify/log/resolve issues promptly following their impact); proactive data quality (i.e., identify/log/resolve issues promptly before they have any impact); and preventative data quality (i.e., prevent data quality issues). The leader in this role will also help formulate business cases to support investment in data quality management and socialize with key stakeholders. Priorities Include: * Responsible for examining data in a comprehensive manner, throughout its life cycle. * Establishing robust data governance that will be designed to facilitate completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness, as well as well controlled processes to support management, operations, and financial and regulatory reporting requirements. * Implement Data Governance associated end-to-end oversight processes / forums, including scope definition, risk reduction metrics, data quality requirements, identification of risks and fixes / mitigations, and demonstrate evidence of the implemented solutions. * Transform workstream planning activities, including milestone sizing, system impact, risks, assumptions, issues, dependency analysis. * Demonstrates data/technology risk management thought leadership with respect to challenging the key technologies and practices adopted to build data capabilities in the businesses and functions. * Challenge the risks taxonomy to define the data risks which the organization seeks to mitigate and the metrics that capture Data Governance risks associated with the delivery of data quality. * Responsible for setting process improvement reengineering vision/strategy and translating into capability building training & mentoring internal staff technical & change management expertise development, as well as, extending it across the business. * Drive execution to increase operational efficiency, reduces process variation, and consequently gaps in customer experience; increase growth & innovation. * Provide leadership, development opportunities, performance management, development and succession-planning, staff communications, and positive interactive working environment to ensure the highest productivity and employee engagement, globally. * Apply knowledge of business products, processes and technology to identify opportunities for further strengthening of the control environment across the business. * Keep abreast of competitive landscape. Qualifications The ideal candidate will come from an international organization and be a visionary leader in risk & control, automation and monitoring. Bachelor degree in computer science, business or a related field. Masters degree or equivalent experience preferred. * 15+ years relevant work experience, including experience leading large, cross-functional teams across engineering, program management and risk & control. * Demonstrate strong, successful experience as a strong data governance manager. * Must possess thorough understand of BCBS 239. * Hands-on development of risk models involving market, credit and operational risk, assure controls are operating effectively, and provide research and analytical support a plus. * Extensive global compliance and related experience, and strong knowledge of business processes utilized in the Financial Services Industry. * Solid understanding of rules, laws, and regulations, and specific regulatory requirements impacting Citi's products and services. * Knowledge of critical regulators, regulatory requirements and Citi Compliance. * Demonstrated understanding of business procedures, financial services, control and regulatory industry knowledge and general understanding of relevant banking regulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions. * Consistent experience managing teams and large, strategic cross-functional or enterprise projects Previous program/project management, consulting, technology and/or management experience. * Strong analytical and quantitative skills; Data driven and results-oriented. * Experience in affecting large culture change. * Demonstrated understanding of business procedures, financial services, control and regulatory industry knowledge and general understanding of relevant banking regulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions. * Proven ability to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization and influence non-directs through data and a vision in a variety of contexts * Deep technical knowledge, with the ability to break down the work involved in solving them, and the impact of those decisions on engineering * Demonstrates sound business judgment, analytical acumen, consumer-centric mindset and communication skills. * A record of fostering a clear vision, translating that vision to action, and delivery of business measurable outcomes. * High level of diplomacy and relationship management skills.
