have an opening for a Part-Time Benefits Administrator in our world
headquarters location in Bloomingdale, NJ. The Benefits
Administrator will be responsible for the administration of all
employee benefits for all of The VMC Group---s locations including
but not limited to New Jersey, California and Texas. The essential
responsibilities include: -- Implement and maintain benefit plan(s)
and policies to attract and retain employees including but not
limited to health and retirement plans and ensure compliance with
federal and state laws -- Design and implement all communication
plans and strategies for new and existing employees --
Responsiveness to employee---s questions and issues is paramount as
effective benefits administration is one of the ways The VMC Group
provides proactive customer service to our employees -- This role
facilitates COBRA benefits as well as all communication during an
employee---s leave of absence including but not limited to
Disability, Workers Compensation, FMLA or any state leave of
absence -- Proactively facilitate participation in the 401k plan
along with maintaining all benefit records (hardcopy and
electronic) in relation to HIPAA, 401K, pension, Summary Plan
Descriptions and medical files for each employee --
Responsibilities include maintenance of pension records in
accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. This role
reconciles invoices and approves billing to vendors -- Process
employee contributions through payroll, provide backup to payroll
when necessary -- The ideal 29-hour work week schedule covers the
5-day workweek Qualified applicants have: -- Bachelor---s degree
preferred -- PHR or SPHR certification preferred -- 5 years of
hands on Benefits experience -- Proficient in Microsoft Office --
Paylocity and HRB Software knowledge a plus -- Working knowledge of
federal and state HR laws and regulations -- Strong organizational
skills -- Strong integrity and ethics with a focus on maintaining
confidential information -- Effective verbal and written
communication skills -- Ability to work independently -- Proven
ability to proactively and tactfully communication regardless of
