Description:

Summary:

The Integration Specialist will be our expert at unlocking and opening up our data sources within Client. As APIs are critical to modern day IT operations, they will be adept at reviewing APIs, figuring out how to get data into and out of them, and how we can bring our various data sources together to create additional value for the business.

They will have experience in a wide variety of data sources from internal traditional databases to external vendor-managed systems and have the ability to read, analyze and digest what a business wants to accomplish with its data, and design the best possible ETL / ELT process around those goals.

Lastly, the Integration Specialist will also challenge current data access strategies company and look to make things better via innovative new technologies and new ways of working.



Education/Equivalent:

BA/BS or other equivalent degree



Work Experience Needed:

Seasoned-Professional = 7 years+



Special Skills/Abilities Needed:

APIs and API management

Extract, Transform, and Load stage of data processing by developing/managing the corresponding Infrastructure (ETL and/or ELT)

Review and Document existing data sources

Serve as SME in recommending methods and techniques for data access

Contribute to application integration road maps

Strong SQL skills

ETL process management & testing, including design testing to ensure proper solutions

Experience in obtaining raw data, decide how it should look to be consumable, make it consumable, and then stored somewhere

Familiar with data warehouse / mart architectures including Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Data Lake, etc

Familiar with Mulesoft AnyPoint or similar API management platforms

Managing data analysis and integration of internal and external system API(s)

Initiation, Design, and Development of Interfaces and Integration Platforms

Comfortable with scripting languages and protocols such as SOAP and REST

Experience with Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) for data ingestion using APIs

Data modeling, data pipeline (ETL tools) development

Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated experience in writing technical requirements and test specifications

Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products.

Ability to partner with software engineers quality analysts to identify course of resolutions.

Ability to manage a range of activities in a busy and fast-changing operating environment.

Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas.

Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment

Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability

Nature & Scope-Principal Areas of Responsibilities:

Understand and document our applications APIs and data

Create solutions to solve business problems by opening up and combining data using a variety of ETL/ELT principles, data lake technologies and vendor platforms

Develop extensive knowledge on data management within water and waste water operations, use that knowledge to deliver solutions to the business to improve operations
