CNC Programmer/Operator

Responsibilities:

Work from complex prints to program and machine parts of various materials (primarily stainless steel and common plastics) on our Haas vertical mills and Mazak CNC turning centers.
Set and adjust work/tool offsets as necessary.
Independently select and set up tooling and fixtures/jaws.
Monitor the running of parts in the cycle and after completion to ensure that specifications and tolerances are met.
Be proficient in using and understanding all ordinary machine shop measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, ID/OD micrometers, etc.
Train and mentor peers, when necessary
Other duties as required by the Production Manager

Required qualifications:

HS diploma or equivalent, technical school certification a plus
I have 5+ years of CNC machining experience and am proficient in CNC turning. Mazak and Okuma's conversational programming is a plus.
Strong knowledge of lathe and mill tooling/inserts
Be able to follow verbal instructions and interpret technical drawings/sketches correctly. Be proficient in understanding technical drawings and sketches.
Work well with others and collaborate on cross-departmental projects.
