Position Objective The purpose of the Sales Effectiveness Consultant role is to improve the behavioral skill sets of reps and front line sales managers which ultimately leads to more profitable customer relationships within our Managed IT (MIT) Services Practice. In this role you will participate in the creation and delivery of short-term and long-term learning and development strategies aimed at educating and enabling sales representatives to find, position, and effectively work MIT opportunities while also working with the sales managers to help them become more proficient in the same activities. The successful candidate will contribute to strategy development and implement customized learning programs tailored to each sales leader in support of the unique requirement of both they and their teams. You will take a 'mentorship' role with sales leaders and describe, train, and then demonstrate effective coaching techniques including: Holding an effective 1:1, modeling appropriate prospecting performance, holding difficult conversations, how to use our existing sales methodology tools to efficiently and effectively identify a deal and work it through to close utilizing a win fast/lose fast approach. You will monitor the progress of sales for the teams with which you work, measuring the impact each learning and development program has on sales performance, recommend improvements, and provide reports to senior management and National Sales Training Manager. The selected candidate will recommend, define, and create new programs to maximize market sales opportunities. Essential Job Functions -Creates, manages, and ensures the successful implementation and delivery of sales programs -Responsible for improving Synergy sales metrics across all 4 geographic regions -Evaluates and assesses the needs of the sales organization to recommend and customize appropriate strategies, programs, interactions, and coaching for regional sales teams. -Demonstrates expert knowledge of our Sales Methodology, ability to create learning programs to reinforce its use. -Observes, coaches, conducts ride-alongs, cold call side-by-sides, while identifying proper and improper use of techniques, suggests improvements, models ideal behavior. -Act as a mentor to help existing sales managers become better leaders by modeling behavior and using effective coaching techniques. -Conducts role practice scenarios with front-line reps to improve customer facing interactions -Conducts role practice scenarios with front line managers to improve coaching techniques & skills -Supports existing sales onboarding program, updating content and creating net new content as required -Continually creates, evaluates, updates, and retires existing online learning courseware in the LMS -Partners with cross functional teams and manages relationships within a matrixed environment. -Creates net new training content for delivery in a variety of mediums including live instructor led sessions, virtual instructional led sessions, e-learning, informal learning, focus groups, and gameification platforms -Creates, updates, and manages intra-net content Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) -Expert user of Power Point and Word -Effective communication skills - written, oral, and visual -Expert presentation skills in face to face and virtual environments -Ability to manage multiple priorities a must -Ability to motivate an audience into taking action, understanding of how to structure learning programs that deliver this result -Previous certification in delivery of Sales Methodology & Coaching Methodology programs -Knowledge of sales training authoring tools and/or multi-media tools a plus -ATD membership, CPLP credential or other Learning credentials a plus Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications -Bachelor's Degree Required -2 years previous experience in a direct contributor B2B sales role -2 years previous sales leadership experience -Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales training, sales effectiveness, and/or sales enablement with measureable & demonstrable performance impact on the sales teams supported Konica Minolta Offers: Outstanding benefits package (including medical, dental, vision, life insurance) 401(k) plan with matching company contribution Generous holiday and paid time off schedules Ongoing professional development training Visible, exciting work supporting sales of cutting edge technology and workflow solutions.
