POSITION SUMMARY:
The Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect is a key role in
advancing Balchem's digital transformation initiatives, improving
collaboration, productivity and automation. The incumbent will meet
with stakeholders to understand business processes, challenges and
opportunities for automation, define requirements, create, design,
develop, test and implement end to end solutions leveraging
Microsoft's Power Platform, Office 365 and Azure Cloud
Services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Identify opportunities to solve business problems through digital
transformation, collaboration and automation
Focus on solutions that affect a broad range of business and
technical needs
Be the subject matter expert of Microsoft's Power Platform and
related tools; advocate for the use of the Power Platform as tool
for automation and improving efficiency
Perform discovery, capture requirements, engage subject matter
experts and stakeholders, document and translate requirements and
business cases
Design and implement solutions to simplify and automate tasks and
processes by incorporating and connecting Microsoft Teams,
Microsoft 365 Apps, Dynamics 365 Supply Chain and Finance and
third-party solutions
Build model-driven, canvas, and portal apps as front end user
interfaces according to best practices and methodologies
Create Power Automate flows, design chatbots using Power Virtual
Agents to meet stakeholder requirements
Develop application enhancements, custom user experiences, system
integrations, data conversions, custom process automation, and
custom visualizations
Drive, manage and be responsible for solution implementations
through all project phases including discovery, definition, build,
test and deploy
Work with team members to implement and maintain app and solution
security controls
Conduct end-user training, create and maintain technical and
knowledge transfer documentation
Present tailored demonstrations of the technology solution
Develop, maintain and refine Power Platform standards, guidelines
and tools
Configure Microsoft Power Platform solutions, environments and
apps
Troubleshoot, maintain, support and enhance existing Power Apps,
Power Automate Solutions and Microsoft Flows
Follow all safety policies and procedures including use of safety
equipment (PPE) and equipment safeguards
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
BS degree, equivalent experience or certification(s) MB-600,
PL-200, PL-400, PL-600
Minimum of 1-year development experience including Power Platform
services, JavaScript, JSON, TypeScript, C#, HTML, .NET, Microsoft
Azure, Microsoft 365, RESTful web services, ASP.NET, and Microsoft
Power BI
Passion and excitement for the Power Platform impact it can
make
Experience with Microsoft's DataVerse, Common Data Services and
OOTB connectors
Functional and/or technical knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform,
Microsoft Azure and Dynamics 365 for Supply Chain and Finance is a
plus
Familiarity with relational database concepts
Ability to build a rapport with and elicit requirement details from
subject matter experts
Skill at translating requirements and business processes into
technical designs
An understanding of the capabilities and limitations of Power
Platform, O365 tools and how and when to apply them
Flexibility to travel to meet with key stakeholders and subject
matter experts
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and abilities, particularly the
ability to communicate technical information to non-technical
personnel
Skill at organizing oneself and resources as well as establishing
priorities
Willingness and ability to work weekend or late evening hours as
required
Capability to be self-sufficient yet recognizing when to reach out
for guidance or assistance
Ability to assess the impact, urgency and importance of an issue
and act or escalate accordingly
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Travel to various locations
Work involves extensive use of a desktop or laptop computer
Most work is performed in a normal office environment
