Description:Tile Showroom Sales Associates & Design Consultants Wayne Tile Company Ramsey, NJ Growing family owned business with tile showrooms throughout northern NJ looking for sales associates and design consultants to work in a dynamic and creative environment. This position would include working on Saturday and 4 additional days during the week. We are always closed on Sundays. This is a great opportunity for a people person who enjoys customer service and interior design. Beautiful showroom environment and a great base of clients from our over 60 years in business. Must have basic computer knowledge and be able to work both independently and as a team. Ideal candidate would be a creative problem solver and have a positive, professional attitude when working with customers. Some of the job responsibilities include: - Work directly with customers selecting tile appropriate for the project. - Communicate with builders and contractors - Showroom merchandising - Answer customer emails/phone calls - Processing orders - Maintains professional and technical knowledge Ideal candidates could have a sales or design background. This post is for our Ramsey NJ showroom. Pay scale is flexible based on pertinent experience. Job Type: Full-time or Possible Part-time available Requirements: Education and Experience: - Bachelors degree preferred - Interior Design Degree a plus. - Previous retail, sales, or interior design experience preferred. - On-the-job training provided. Required Skills/Abilities: - Excellent verbal communication skills. - Excellent active listening skills. - Excellent sales and customer service skills. - Extensive knowledge of the merchandise sold. - Ability to anticipate customers' needs. - Ability to recommend merchandise to customers. - Ability to operate or to quickly learn the store's point-of-sale system. Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space. - Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Requirements:PI202939297
